To all users,

Testmyiphone.com today received its 1,000,000 speed test taken. It took 88 days, less then 3 full months to reach. We wanted to thank all of you for helping reach this milestone so quickly. And to go with that we have added some new features for everyone to use. Hope you like them.

New Features:

Dual Test - A need speed test has been added. We have added a dual speed test to the site. This test will run both a upload and download test in one run so that you do not have to do 2 tests to get both results. When the dual test is finished it will five both your upload and download results on the same page for easy sharing. There are options for 3g, edge, and wifi on the iPhone, and a smart dual test option for non iPhone users. The smart test will adjust accordingly to your connection speed.

Speed Test Scheduler - ( http://testmyiphone.com/schedule ) This unique tool will let you schedule a speed test then send you a email at the desired time you selected to your iPhones email address. There is a link directly to the speed test and connection type you selected. You have the ability to set the test to run daily, weekly, and monthly, and what time you want that speed test email to be sent to you. If you wish to stop the reminder there is a disable link in the email that is sent to you.

Tools Page - ( http://testmyiphone.com/tools ) We have added a new tools button to the top menu. Currently there are 4 tools here last 100 speed tests, latency, top countries, and scheduler. We will be adding more tools as time goes on.

Stats - The download and upload stats will no longer take a few minutes to load. They are processed in the background every 15 minutes automatically, in stead of having them generated every time you load the page. This cuts the stats page load time to almost nothing, and reduces server CPU load. We have also added 4 new daily stats for both download and upload. Tests taken today, average 3G speed, average edge speed, and average wifi speed.

Country Stats - Apple has launched the iPhone now in 52 countries, we currently track 36 countries and will be adding the reaming 16 to our list by Friday October 3rd. We have also optimized the country stats, just as we did the download, and upload stats. The stats for each country is updated automatically every 6 hours, this will cut down on the page load time for each of them.
